Welcome

Welcome to the internet home of Greg Jones, estate coffee specialist.

Greg and his trusty espresso machine held court at NEARFest again this year. Bassist extraordinaire Tony Levin has some pictures here.

You can see Greg on Youtube explaining how to make a great cup of coffee here.

Check out one of Greg's radio spots here.

Recently Greg was a guest on the radio show Dig In with Jewels. It's a culinary show with host Jewels Quelly and it's on from 11AM EST for an hour. Here's the link to listen to the interview.

Here you can read about Greg's recommended coffees and order them from his secure online store.

Find out when Greg's coffee cuppings, coffee Events/Lectures and espresso training seminars will occur next and how you can book him for your business or group, and learn all you need to know about true specialty coffees (and how to avoid the inferior ones posing as the highest grade).

Why drink Estate Coffee?
Even if a roaster only buys the highest of the 5 grades of arabica as identified by the S.C.A.A. (Specialty Coffee Association of America) from the country of origin,  that highest grade will still be a mixture of beans from several farms blended together at a localized mill. Some of these farms may be producing spectacular coffee far superior to their neighbors at nearby farms but the blending will result in losing some if not most of these taste delights. Blending the beans from several farms also results in inconsistent flavor., even at the highest quality. By buying that highest grade directly from the farm that's doing the magic, not only can you count on all the classic taste characteristics the growing region is known for but you also get to enjoy these glorious flavor subtleties unique to the farm every time you brew it.
